Little Angel Youth Theatre
Little Angel Theatre Youth Theatre - from 25 September

Little Angel Theatre, the “Home of British Puppetry” has developed a new Youth Theatre which will take place on Saturday mornings in Islington for ages 11-15.

The Little Angel’s Youth Theatre will bring a new dimension to a similar style of clubs, with puppet making and performing with puppets key to the way the group works – finding the new puppeteers of tomorrow!

First term: 25 September – 4 December, Saturday mornings 11.30am - 1.15pm

Mask Training for Teachers & Practitioners - 30 September

Practical training in Trestle mask skills for teachers, workshop leaders and all involved in participatory theatre.

This one day practical workshop will strengthen your practice of using masks as a tool for both theatre and social development, and is a great opportunity to gain new techniques to enable your students to produce outstanding work.

Mission To Mars - 28 October

Mission To Mars

Go on a Mission To Mars with the Polka theatre by building your own spaceship in this interactive drama and craft session, inspired by the show.

The show is set in the year 2035 and is based on the real science of planned Mars missions!

Suitable for children aged 7-9, this session costs just £15 and runs from 10am-12noon.

Directing Shakespeare – 12-13 November

National Theatre

This two-day workshop is designed to empower teachers to work confidently with Shakespeare and embrace the challenge of holding the roles of both director and teacher.  It is part of a range of events and activities including workshops, talks and performances, designed to support teaching and learning in relation to Hamlet, which opens in the Olivier Theatre this September.

Polka Performers

Polka Theatres Summer Schools

Polka Performers work with professional directors and artists to explore their own ideas and create inspiring new theatre. These ten-week courses take places in Polka's Acting Studio during term time.

Shakespeare Schools' Festival

The Shakespeare Schools Festival introduces 11-18 year olds to the excitement and discipline of performing in a professional theatre. Through workshops for teachers and students provided by our partners National Theatre and National Youth Theatre, the Festival helps young people to appreciate the genius of Shakespeare, to aim high and to take pride in their achievements.
In this, our 10th anniversary year, 700 schools will perform at 80 theatres across the UK. We have a limited number of places available; you can register here.
